In the beginning, CEG designed a parking lot expansion for the Korean church in Collegedale, Tenn. A straight forward project, the lot expansion effectively improved parking conditions for an expanding church in an expanding community.
Then, CEG returned to this Korean congregation to engineer and oversee a significant addition to its main building. This time, the project involved a new design for a fellowship hall and classrooms as well as a complete overhaul of site landscaping to meet updated and extensive city ordinances.
Not only did CEG complete a beautiful and on-budget expansion for this congregation, but our team engineered new landscaping that included attractive tree islands and comprehensive stormwater management.
In an interesting twist, congregation leaders turned to CEG engineers – well-known and respected for our decades of combined experience – when other plans proved questionable; our team was able to offer tried and true advice on building codes and sprinkler systems, ultimately saving the church millions of dollars in projected costs.
“Our expertise extends far beyond traditional engineering,” said CEO and founder Rocky Chambers. “We’ve been around construction long enough to give advice on most anything.”
